Illustration is relatively new to me after years of graphic design, branding, layouts, and advertising. I have spent the last few months working on developing my illustration skills and techniques.
I have mainly produced them through Procreate, as I love trying out hundreds of different brushes to create varied lines and textures.
Recently, I've been dedicating time to enhancing my digital art skills. This piece is inspired by a photograph I came across, and I used Procreate to bring it to life through my own interpretation.
In this piece, I combined techniques I learned from an online tutorial to explore colour and layering. The artwork depicts a whimsical flower fairy playing in a magical forest, with curious creatures observing her play. The process began with initial sketches created in Procreate, which were then imported into Photoshop for colouring and stylization.
Using an angular sketch style in Procreate I created an illustration of Ghost Spider and then experimented
with creating different backgrounds to complete the scene.
In the animated illustration, a girl floats peacefully on her back in the calm sea off the coast. This animation was created using Procreate Dreams. Music by Donut from Pixabay.
I used a limited colour pallet to create an illustration of a mermaid in the depths of the sea.
Character design with a slight manga inspiration.
This a personal project using the prompt of a "Magical Kitchen" to illustrate a picture
suitable for a children's storybook.

This illustration was an exploration of using Procreate brushes to create lighting, depth, and texture.
As a big Disney fan, I created these simplified designs to create linocut prints.
I love creating patterns, above is an example of a food based brunch design.
Below is a design, I once again pulled inspiration from Disney for and created a Snow White influenced pattern.

Last year I took part in Inktober to get back to pen and paper, as it was October and Halloween was on the way
I based my sketches on ghosts. Above are a selection of my drawings.
